God Said No ~ author unknown

This was sent by a friend, one of those beautiful messages that circulates on the net. Enjoy

God Said NO!!

I asked God to take away my habit.
God said, No.
It is not for Me to take away,
but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.
God said, No.
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations;
it isn’t granted, it is learned. (Read more…)

Blind to the unseenworld, some thoughts ~ Rainy

Did you ever long for people who understood how you saw the world?
I think a lot about what has happened that so many humans are disconnected from the Earth as a living being and I long to live in a world society that does honor the Earth.

This morning it’s quite rainy and raw outside, the leaves are changing to that rusty orange color that precedes the brown just before they drop from the trees. It’s a good morning for quiet work and introspection.

I decided it was time to watch a DVD I had received from the American Indian Institute about Pauline Whitesinger,  a traditional Dine (Navajo) elder living as she has done all her life in the simple respectful way of her ancestors.  Mrs. Whitesinger spoke (via translation) of keeping connection to all life forms in this world. Her words conveyed so much reverence for the land, the trees, the animals in her care that it was easy to see the energetic tapestry that she and we all live in and are weavers of. (Read more…)

A Rain Drop is the Ocean ~ theinfiniteone

I had a conversation the other day with myself about the ’soul’ of man. What is it that makes the Human Experience different from ‘other life’ experience? I reasoned that it is because Man has a different awareness…that Man has an ‘awareness’ of a Higher Creator which the ‘other life’ simply does not have….but then, I reasoned…How can anyone really know the awareness of any other life form? Is the Bull Frog croaking for a mate? Or perhaps croaking the Awesomeness of All Creation?

My thoughts finally concluded with this analogy:
Regardless of the Awareness of Other Life…The Human Awareness is the awareness of not only self, but Higher Creator Self…. (Read more…)

May Day ~ Lorraine Simone of Moonfire Meeting House

May Day   by  Lorraine Simone, Rev., M.S. Ed., C.Ht.   founder of Moonfire Meeting House

May Day ushers in the fifth month of the modern calendar year, the month of May. This month is named in honor of the goddess Maia, originally a Greek mountain nymph, later identified as the most beautiful of the Seven Sisters, the Pleiades. By Zeus, she is also the mother of Hermes, god of magic. Maia’s parents were Atlas and Pleione, a sea nymph.

The old Celtic name for May Day is Beltane (in its most popular Anglicized form), which is derived from the Irish Gaelic ‘Bealtaine’ or the Scottish Gaelic ‘Bealtuinn’, meaning ‘Bel-fire’, the fire of the Celtic god of light (Bel, Beli or Belinus). He, in turn, may be traced to the Middle Eastern god Baal. (Read more…)

A SPIRITUAL CONSPIRACY ~ author unknown

On the surface of the world right now there is
war and violence and things seem dark.
But calmly and quietly, at the same time,
something else is happening underground
An inner revolution is taking place
and certain individuals are being called to a higher light.
It is a silent revolution. (Read more…)

Pollen ~ Theresa Varela

Pollen
Usually the people I speak to about pollen have duly noted how irritating it can be. Pollen is associated with red noses, swollen and watery eyes and sneezes those go on forever. Pharmaceutical companies depend on high levels of pollen. It’s well known that springtime, in certain geographical areas, brings levels of discomfort that have people staring at shelves stocked with antihistamines. The buyer gazes intently at boxes filled with different colored liquids and tablets and caplets and gel filled capsules-all promising to rid the sufferer of the effects of pollen. The draw to shuffling to the cashier with tissue remnants attached to one’s shoe is a clear head, patent nasal passages and a good night’s sleep without painful nares. (Read more…)
