Blind to the unseenworld, some thoughts ~ Rainy

Did you ever long for people who understood how you saw the world?
I think a lot about what has happened that so many humans are disconnected from the Earth as a living being and I long to live in a world society that does honor the Earth.

This morning it’s quite rainy and raw outside, the leaves are changing to that rusty orange color that precedes the brown just before they drop from the trees. It’s a good morning for quiet work and introspection.

I decided it was time to watch a DVD I had received from the American Indian Institute about Pauline Whitesinger,  a traditional Dine (Navajo) elder living as she has done all her life in the simple respectful way of her ancestors.  Mrs. Whitesinger spoke (via translation) of keeping connection to all life forms in this world. Her words conveyed so much reverence for the land, the trees, the animals in her care that it was easy to see the energetic tapestry that she and we all live in and are weavers of. (Read more…)

About 2012 from Mayan Messenger ~ Wandering Wolf

Wandering Wolf’s Message                                                       of March 17, 2009
Grandfather Cirilo Perez Oxlaj’s Mayan name is Wakatel Utiw, which means “Wandering Wolf” in his native language. He is regarded as the Voice of the Jungle and the Messenger of the Maya, but we know him as Grandfather Cirilo.

This article is an excerpt from Grandfather’s talk he gave in Antigua Guatemala
addressing a group on a sacred pilgrimage arranged by Aluna Joy: www.alunajoy.com.

“Well my dear brothers and sisters. Welcome to the Maya land in Guatemala.

I could ask you “What are you doing in Guatemala?” But then you could ask me the same thing when I over there in the States, “What are you doing here?” Because each one of us, we travel to different parts of the world. But what are we looking for? We are looking for love and understanding among all beings that inhabit the Earth. We are searching for something in our minds for what we can do to defend Mother Earth, because we see that we are leaving a world that is very contaminated now. (Read more…)

Selling the sacred ~Valerie Taliman

Indian Country Today  Selling the sacred by Valerie Taliman
Originally printed at http://www.indiancountrytoday.com/opinion/64077357.html
The Oct. 9 headlines read: “Sweat lodge disaster” and “2 dead, 19 taken to hospitals, 64 people in sweat lodge.”
Except that it wasn’t a real sweat lodge. It was a bastardized version of a sacred ceremony sold by a multimillionaire who charged people $9,695 a pop for his “Spiritual Warrior” retreat in Sedona, Ariz.
The man responsible, self-help spiritual entrepreneur James Arthur Ray, claimed the New Age retreat would absolutely “change your life.”
It did – it took the lives of a father of three children and a healthy young woman. It also caused burns, respiratory arrest, kidney failure, loss of consciousness, and dehydration for other paying customers who were hospitalized. (Read more…)

History starts; now and now and now……… ~ Kathleen

History starts; now and now and now………

Time gone lessons learnt….”one” has remained in all time true to the human family A connection always with spirit.
Creation itself in the disguise of mystery and wonder, Within all diversities an awe of the natural world remains the glue which ever bonds us all together. All belief structures whatever way each is interpreted, “Share one Earth“. The life blood of a unique phenomenon cut into invisible pieces called “mine” claimed by man. A compelling force that drives almost every life form to survive is born from creations/creator’s own need to survive. (Read more…)

Historic Action for Native Americans and US

You can be part of it, LET YOUR VOCIE BE HEARD

A multitude of exploitive practices, hidden and unspoken are being thrust into world view.  Though the amount of ugliness is huge and seems overwhelming, there are people all over the planet opening avenues to address the wrongs from the past and present.
The Native American organization White Bison, is working toward healing for individuals and communities who carry the pain and living the legacy of the countless actions of suppression taken since the invasion.  These on going wounds are no secret to Americans or the world.
What is different?

At last a wrong set right? Is Obama the one to do it? ~ Rainy

Harlyn Geronimo, great great grandson of the Apache leader Geronimo along with other members of his family filed a federal lawsuit February 17th 2009 against the US federal government and Yale University, requiring the remains of Geronimo to be returned to his family for reburial in his native New Mexico.
What is believed and has been talked about for years is that the Yale based secret society Skull and Bones have had in their possession the bones of Geronimo. They acquired them when Prescott Bush, grandfather to George W Bush dug them up sometime around WW I. He gave them to Skull and Bones, an elite society that some of our presidents have belonged too. President Obama along with other government and military officials was named in this suite as the Geronimo family is seeking the return of all the ancestral bones that were at the Fort Sill burial site were the grave robbing took place.
