It is with much gratitude to Helen White Wolf we share here her mediation for our Earth. We are excited that Helen will be offering this meditation in audio form in the Meditation Garden in time, so please visit the Mediation Garden in the future.

With consciousness resting in the Heart, we allow the breath to flow as compassionate awareness; receiving on the in-breath, letting go on the out-breath.
The breath flows as a wave of divine oceanic awareness,
carrying the body, and the mind;
carrying all that we contain.
We surrender into the Heart, into the deep sweetness and warmth that exists there; the flame of love wells up from the centre of our being and expands, filling our chest, front and back. We soften in the belly and the spine, allowing the body to receive the Heart. (Read more…)

“Global Warming is sure happening up here.” Sarah James shared as we conversed in June about the climate changes we both were experiencing. Sarah is a spokes person for the Gwich’in people of Alaska.
Sarah went on to describe how the per-ma frost has been melting, everything is getting warmer, lakes are drying up and there is drout. This year fires burned and as we talked smoke was in the air near her home in Arctic Village located in the very isolated interior of Alaska.
In the 2 videos below Sarah James speaks from the heart about the impact drilling for oil will have on the Gwich’in people. Not only is it informative on the issue, it brings the very real concerns and fears of a people under threat, right to our own hearts.
